Sleep walking
Yes, I am thankful for it. If not for the alarm system I would not have known that my son left the
room. He probably might even have left the house unknowingly. This seldom happens to us, I usually
notice him during our sleep. Maybe I was so tried that time. When I asked my son, he said, "he was
looking for me and was surprised instead to hear the alarm. It was in his dream that he did not see
me, he was awakened only by the alarm. So, I would say that this alarm system is not only meant for
the robbers/intruders but more so, to family members who have the tendency to sleepwalk.

Real Fire Alarm
One of the most important virtues in life is having "Peace of Mind". It is because of this virtue
that I had a Fire and Burglar Alarm System installed in my house. As a husband and a father, it is
my obligation to provide protection to my family and the other people living under my roof.
Last Christmas, as the whole family was out for dinner, I received a call from SSMI informing me
that their system detected smoke coming from the living room. It turned out that our Christmas Tree
caught fire because of faulty (China) Christmas Lights. Thankfully, the alarm siren went off as soon
as it detected the smoke and promptly alerted the househelps who in turn controlled what could have
been a disastrous fire. Now I truly understand the meaning of "Saved by the Bell".
Me and my family have been living the same house for over 25 years and never have we experienced
anything of the sort as we are a family of "siguristas". But no matter how careful you are,
accidents do happen and it could hit anyone anytime and anywhere. And I am really glad that I have
that extra insurance invested for the protection of everything that I hold dear.

Fire Alarm
Last night the Central Monitoring Station received a fire alarm in my residence so they immediately
called our premises but no one answered. That is when I received in my mobile phone, a call from a
CS Operator informing me of the alarm. Unfortunately, I was still down town, so I told the operator
to call our residence again. This time one of our helpers answered the call. The operator then
informed the helper about the received alarm and quickly advised the helper to check the area. The
helper then confirmed to the operator that a fire broke out in one of the rooms. Our guard however
was able to control the fire using our fire extinguisher.
The SSMi team was very efficient and quick to respond. We would highly recommend their system to
anyone.
